We know, we know… Chap Goh Mei has come and gone. But who says the celebration has to end there? At Friends of the Disabled Society (FDS), we believe there’s no such thing as too much joy. And this year’s Chinese New Year celebration was packed with everything we love—festive vibes, delicious food, and memories that will last all year long! 🧧🍊🍊
Thanks to the generous sponsorship from S&P Global, our members and caregivers were treated to a full-on celebration that checked every box: fun games, exciting lucky draws, singing, dancing, and more. Best of all, every member walked away with a prize—because our lucky draw made sure everyone was a winner this year! 🎁
We also had not one, but TWO God of Fortunes making their grand entrance, spreading double the blessings and turning up the festive cheer! And just when we thought the party couldn’t get any livelier… the Lion Dance kicked in. Huge thanks to Zyg Zyg Events and Entertainment for an electrifying performance that had everyone clapping and smiling from ear to ear!
A big shout-out goes to the wonderful S&P Global volunteers, who didn’t just help behind the scenes but spent time engaging warmly with our members, making them feel seen, included, and celebrated. Your presence truly made the event even more meaningful. 💖
We’re also incredibly thankful to the energetic crew from NTU Welfare Services Club. From early morning setup to hands-on assistance throughout the event, they ensured everything ran smoothly. Their support brought so much positive energy to the room and helped make the day extra special.
And let’s not forget the thoughtful goodie bags, lovingly packed by volunteers from Fergus Consultancy Group. Thank you for making sure each member left with something to hold and smile about!
We were also delighted to celebrate Siao Whaik’s birthday amidst all the CNY excitement—Happy Birthday! 🎂
To cap it off, we enjoyed a warm and hearty meal at Leaf Corner – Vegetarian 慈素餐馆, where everyone gathered to relax, eat, and enjoy each other’s company in a cosy, welcoming space.
