For the first time ever, Friends of the Disabled Society (FDS) proudly marched in The Purple Parade 2024, Singapore’s biggest movement championing disability inclusion. From the electrifying atmosphere to the overwhelming show of solidarity, it was a day filled with joy, empowerment, and community spirit.
A Sea of Purple and Unstoppable Energy

As our members and volunteers stepped onto the parade grounds, we were met with a wave of cheers and encouragement. Banners held high, smiles beaming, and spirits soaring—we joined thousands in making a bold statement: Inclusion matters.
The energy was contagious as we marched alongside other organizations, each step reinforcing our shared commitment to breaking barriers and celebrating abilities. The streets of Suntec City pulsed with music, laughter, and the unmistakable feeling of unity.
A Heartfelt Thank You

This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible volunteers, who dedicated their time and effort to ensure that our members had a fantastic experience. From coordinating logistics to cheering on our participants, their unwavering support truly made a difference.
We also extend our deepest appreciation to the organizers of The Purple Parade for creating such a powerful platform for inclusion. This event amplifies the voices of persons with disabilities, fosters understanding, and strengthens our collective mission for a more inclusive society.
We’re excited to continue this journey and look forward to marching again at The Purple Parade 2025! 💜
