Diwali Celebration at S&P Global with Friends of the Disabled Society
Some celebrations unfold gently.
Others arrive bursting with colour music laughter and surprise.
Our Diwali celebration at S&P Global was most definitely the second kind.
What began as a Festival of Lights somehow grew into a joyful whirlwind that included a wedding anniversary a birthday games a concert and a full on Bollywood Idol moment all in one unforgettable day.
We started with something deeply meaningful as Irene Toh shared her life journey. Her story reminded all of us that true light does not come from candles or lamps but from resilience courage and the way we choose to keep moving forward even when life is not easy.
Then came a moment straight out of a romantic film. Esmond serenaded Irene with their wedding song as they celebrated 44 years of marriage. It was tender sincere and quietly powerful. A reminder that love when nurtured can shine just as brightly decades later.
Just when we thought our hearts were already full the celebration took another joyful turn. It became a birthday bash for Victor complete with cheers laughter and plenty of smiles. 🎂 The room was alive with warmth and shared happiness.
    
The energy kept building as the ever talented Bhavani took the mic and filled the space with her beautiful singing. She was followed by Joyce Chang whose upbeat dance performance to the song APT brought a touch of charm confidence and modern flair to the celebration.
And then things turned delightfully chaotic in the best possible way. Our S&P volunteers led everyone into a Bollywood dance showdown that was pure joy. Steps were optional enthusiasm was not. If there were trophies for effort spirit and laughter we would all have walked away as champions.
No Diwali celebration is complete without food and the spread of Indian cuisine did not disappoint. Every dish felt like comfort and celebration rolled into one. Truly the gulab jamun on top of a perfect day.
This Diwali celebration at S&P Global was a meaningful reminder of how light, community, and inclusion come together in the most beautiful ways.
